Bits of Joy…and Other Blessings!

3 – Update on Harry – Oral Cancer

10.19.14

What a beautiful fall day! Harry has a gorgeous view of hills and trees in full color! What an artist our LORD is!!

Harry's ICU team has determined he should remain in ICU for an extra day due to the blood flow in the "free flap" being a bit congested. Not anything to be concerned about; they just want to be able to monitor it for another day. That equipment (Doppler) is only available in ICU. I am very pleased with that assessment, since it gives him yet another day of almost one-on-one care.

His vitals are good, his pain is under control, his progress is excellet; the only thing he needs is rest! Tough to get that in the hospital (wink, wink!).

I'll update as things progress.

Love to all! You are such a blessing to us!!

P.S. I couldn't resist this passage, especially verse 22 :-)

"Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, 'Rulers of the people and elders, if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead--by him this man is standing before you well. This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvaton in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved...For the man on whom this sign of healing was performed was more than forty years old.'" Acts 4:8-12,22
