Carol’s Story

For years, I felt a calling to help people be all they could be. You see, my philosophy is that life is whatever YOU make it, and I felt that many people were so bogged down in jobs they didn’t like and marriages they regretted, buried in financial debt, and drowning in negativity! In my eyes, they were missing all the joy of being here! How sad is that? God touched my heart and gave me the passion to want to make a difference.

In 1989, as a result of completing a Spiritual Gifts Inventory, I was inspired to establish a marriage ministry at our church. As a result, Harry and I led a small group called “Celebrating Marriage” for the next several years. During that time, we also taught Sunday Morning Bible Classes for couples on marriage and family relations. Our goal was to help healthy couples celebrate the wonderful gift of marriage…to rekindle the flames that first ignited their relationship.

You see, I was blessed to meet the “love of my life” at a very young age, and to have celebrated over 49 years of marriage! Notice I didn’t say “wedded bliss”! Marriage is hard work! But the rewards are worth every bit of the effort, and they are not available in any other relationship on earth! Here’s the best part…we are each other’s first and only real love (a truly rich blessing!), and after being together for over 50 years, I still get goosebumps!
